We know the best way to reach LGBTQ+ youth is online – and what better place to do it than on TikTok? Since joining TikTok’s Creative Learning Fund (CLF) in 2020, we’ve amassed an audience of hundreds of thousands of LGBTQ+ youth who come to our channel for a safe space, to ask the questions they can’t ask anywhere else, and find their own online queer community. We couldn’t do it without our amazing TikTok Creators – read below to learn how you can join us!

Become one of our TikTok Creators! If you can see yourself filming a skit about how you came out to your parents, starting conversations for viewers to join in on, mixing up some satisfying slime in the nonbinary flag colors while saying queer affirmations, making a queer craft, doing a GRWM while talking about the unexpected parts of your transition, taking us along for the day while you attend a protest, or filming a timelapse drawing of your favorite queer character while talking about representation in the media… you’re probably a good fit!
We look for LGBTQ+ TikTok creators who:
- Are engaging storytellers and enjoy sharing and giving advice about about their personal experiences to-camera in a natural and unscripted way.
- Understand TikTok “energy” and latest trends, including what grabs and keeps people’s attention on the platform, and what kinds of visuals and topics draw audiences in.
- Are in tune with what LGBTQ+ youth ages 13-18 need to hear, what pop culture they’re tuned into, and the energy they want to see on TikTok.
- Have availability to respond to trends, current events, and It Gets Better campaigns and projects over a 6 month period.
- Are comfortable filming and editing clips together into a single TikTok within the TikTok app, or external apps or programs like CapCut or Adobe Premiere.
- Have a commitment to equality and diversity, with a respect for others identities and their beliefs.
- Have a culture of acceptance, kindness, and positivity surrounding their own channel and followers, and would consider themselves a role model for queer youth.
- Are aligned with the It Gets Better Project’s mission to uplift, empower, and connect LGBTQ+ youth around the globe.
